This website is subject to the Act on the Provision of Digital Services, which requires that all public sector online services in Finland are accessible.

This accessibility statement applies to the website kirjastokaista.fi. It was drawn up on 23 April 2020 and updated on 2 January 2025. The accessibility of this digital service has been assessed by Annanpura Oy (16 April 2019).

Accessibility status of the digital service

Meets critical A & AA requirements.

Inaccessible content in the digital service (according to WCAG criteria)

The website does not yet fully meet the requirements

Understandable: Insufficient language settings in video and audio players

Inaccessible content and its shortcomings:
The site contains embedded video and audio files. The third-party players used to play them are not fully accessible in all respects, for example some button alt-texts may be in English only. In the audio player, the track name inherits the player’s lang=en attribute, causing the track name to be pronounced in English regardless of its actual language.

Accessibility requirements not met:
3.1.2 Language of Parts

Not covered by legislation

Video or audio recordings published before 23 September 2020:
Videos released before 23 September 2020 are mostly without subtitles.

Did you notice any accessibility deficiency in our digital service? Please let us know and we will do our best to rectify it

You can leave accessibility feedback via Libraries.fi’s shared feedback form, located outside this website: please use this online form for accessibility feedback.

You can also send your feedback by e-mail to toimitus@kirjastot.fi.

Supervisory authority

If you notice accessibility issues on the website, first give feedback to the website administrator.
